It was awesome! I want one. You all should try it. I'm a born space pilot.
Edit: Found a video of the game I played.

How well does Valkyrie play? Was it a HD version of the Rift?
I'll be looking for an Occulus Rift and a good HOTAS setup for Star Citizen and Elite when they come out, but if Valkyrie is any good it may speed up my purchase.

Well we were only given 3 minutes to play against someone else so it was pretty quick. It could have been on my head better, the vision was a touch blurry and just needed to be adjusted. I think it was basic Occulus not sure if HD. Still great graphics. As far as play goes, like I said it was multi player so it was interesting, everything worked great. You would just look at a plane and push the left trigger to get a lock which seemed a lot easier than using a joystick.
The short of it: I thought it was amazing but wasn't given much time to play around

Just think how much better the consumer version will be. Way better screen resolution and I hear they had solved the aliasing issue when looking left or right which caused a minor lag on off screen data.

Hopefully under $400. Cheaper is of course better.
I didn't notice any lagging but I was doing pretty smooth motions and not looking to the side real quick. Not sure if that helped or not with any laggyness

It's going to be a toss up between this thing and the Occulus when they hit retail. I want a crack at both of them to see how well they work with glasses before I drop money.

I think it was quick motion making a dizzying affect that had ghosting and pixelation. They are saying $300 which would be fantastic. Up to 1080P from the current 480p

Yeah, all the reports from CES this year were talking about how much better the new dev version is. Looks like it has external tracking which has cut down the lag substantially.
